At Perching at the Ritz, we take
pride in raising our baby parrots. We spend a lot of time playing with our babies
training them and socializing them with a variety of people. This gives your new
companion the love and care they need to ensure you not only get a healthy companion,
but also a loving companion. We believe a baby parrot that is shown love will show
love.
We hand feed every baby parrot and DO NOT tube feed our babies. They are weaned onto
a healthy pellet diet and are given a variety of fruits and vegetables. If the baby
of your choice is not available from our aviary, we are networked with a select few
quality aviaries who do not sell to the general public.
Let us raise a loving companion for you!

Natural materials and colors
are essential for many fly patterns due to the accuracy of color, the translucency
and the non-fade you get over other feathers that have been dyed as substitutes.
The colored feather used in the fly patterns here were all from the birds that reside
at "Perching at the Ritz". They range from the small rose feathers from
rose breasted cockatoos, the green and yellow ones from the yellow head
Amazon parrots, and the larger red and blue ones from the scarlet macaws and
the blue and gold macaws. You can see these feathers used in the tailing material,
wing material and shoulder materials. It takes a tail feather of about 24 inches
long to provide the shoulder length feather required in tying salmon flies like the
Dona Lora. To be able to tie authentic patterns such as depicted here then you must
use all natural feathers whenever possible.
